Dear Formula One

Dear Formula One,

It passed so many years since we met, but I thought it's now the best moment to write you some words. 8 years ago our story began and since then I saw each race that you showed me. There were so many memories in my mind since then, and also, so many feelings: happiness, sadness, impotence, angriness, surprise, deception,... I can't write all that you gave me. The reason why I'm writing you this letter is because this 2012 you gave all the people, including me, the best season possible.

Since you started to give us the emotion of Formula One in 1950 we never saw 6 world champions together in a season, we have the last 11 world championships together fighting to be the best. I could never imagine that we would see again Michael Schumacher or Kimi Räikkönen fighting with Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Sebastian Vettel, but you made this possible.

Also the start of the season it couldn't be better for us. Last years you are trying to give us something different, something to keep us in our seats every Sunday and make that our hearts start to pump faster every minute, but this year, sincerely, you made it perfect: the first 7 races with 7 different winners, and not happy with that, you gave us new winners this season with Nico Rosberg and Pastor Maldonado and also, we gave us an 8th winner, in all the 2012 races, 5 of them were World Champions. It would be perfect if Michael were one of the 8 winners this season, but I knew it was very difficult. It doesn't matter, nobody is perfect.

But with different winners had we an interesting championship? Of course we had my dear Formula One. There were options for everyone at the first races, we had incredible battles at the start of the season like for example the battle between the first 6 drivers in 6 seconds in Monaco, or how Sergio Pérez were chasing Fernando Alonso to get his first victory in F1. Now we are at the last race of the season, and only 2 driver could be world champions for 3rd time in their lifes, and both drivers had the same year.

With Sebastian Vettel and Fernando Alonso we had fun in most of races, we had incredible battles like Austin for Sebastian or Malaysia for Fernando, both drivers had to do an awesome race winning positions, in Sebastian's case in Abu Dhabi when he started last and finished 3rd, or with Fernando who won in Valencia starting 11th. We had to suffer with them when they hadn't a car to race for victory, like the start of the season with Red Bull or how Ferrari had to improve all they could to reach the first positions in some races. Even we had angry moments with both like Valencia or Italy with Vettel when his car stopped due the alternator, or with Fernando in Spa and Japan when he couldn't reach the 2nd turn; we cried with them, but we also enjoy with their races.

This year you gave us the emotion of racing in a way like never before, and this is why I would like to thank you all that you made in this 2012 and to tell you something: I don't mind who will win in Brazil, I don't care if it's Sebastian or if it's Fernando, the only thing that I want is to enjoy the final race as I enjoyed all this year, for me, the best since I met you.

Thank you Formula One for this moments, and please, keep doing this great work.

Sincerely, Adaco.
